Battle Scars

Females wearing his "anger" like battle scars.
But last time I checked, love ain't a war, so it shouldn't hurt that hard.
And I can understand a little bruise on your heart,
But broads got blue and black marks on they arms.
And his only "apology" is "Baby we got that hood love"
And he ain't telling you you special,
So you settling for "bad luck".
And to top it off, you giving him excuses.

Letter to My Unborn

Her name is Hazel Janae.
She's a beautiful ray of sunshine and a glowing star,
Lighting up the night sky, all at the same time.
She has already brought me joy and she hasn't even been born yet.
And even if I never have her physically,
She's always gonna be apart of me spiritually and mentally.
I've changed her name from Tiffany to Tatiyanna.
From Tyeana to Taja'Lena.

And when I thought this love was ended,
You said I extended your sentence like I had you imprisoned.
But you wasn't ready for committment.
And to add on to my burden, you wasn't down with repentance.
So I couldn't offer myy forgiveness.
And my idea was that we would gone ahead and end it.
But you somehow convinced me
That you needed and loved me.
And once again I belived.
