Bio

I am a young poet who is just trying to be heard. Struggling to express herself. Her only way is through the spoken word. I like to have fun and enjoy making people smiling along with me.

I Often Write Poetry

To express myself and because I usually see someone who is going through something and I think "Wow. What would it be like to be them for a day?" so I sit and I write a poem about it. I also write about issues in the word that I see need to change. I understand I am a poet and as long as I kept writing someone will listen. We are all poets, underestimated heroes of the world.

My Other Hobbies

I play volleyball and tennis. I also debate all year round. I write novels, as well as poetry and I perform at poetry slams.

Poems and Quotes by Brie Bear

Letters To My Father

Daddy's hug are synchonized in the time it takes the earth to orbit around the sun
For 10 years
Sometimes I want you to realize I'm a part of you too

Transgender Bender

I sit in the back of my classroom
Quietly
Never say a word
Because no one will understand me
And how their can be two of me
I hate explaining to my mother that I don't
Wanna wear address

Can You Hear The Silence In The Wind?

Yesterday the world stop again
When she openly conformed to him
Letting him paint her anatomy in shades of black and blue
Using her own tissues like gags in her mouth

Clocks

And time stops.
Restart the clocks.
Take me back to relive the beginning.
You broke down my walls and in return I opened my heart.

Scales

This is for the lovers and the haters
This is for ones left behind and the ones who are still finding
This is for the fighters and the passive
This is for the heartbroken and the passionate

The Trumpet

If I were a queen I'd conquer the world
If you were my king I'd still kneel to your feet
Can you hear a trumpet sound when the world stands completely still

Before The Dawn, I Shall Wait

Forever is just a memory in my broken heart
Day by day goes by and I see you struggle
Can I reach out of my own darkness
Succumbing to the numbness in yours

Beautiful Liar

This life is that of my own creation
Spinning rapidly out of control but
Shining beautifully in your eyes

Can you handle me?
Can you handle the pain hidden behind that flicker in my eyes?

Mwah!

I thought about it 3, 4, 5 times
I finally decided to let you go
The girl I used to be
The girl I am now
Two different people
Two different paths

If you ask me what I changed

One With The Sun

Once I again I stand reveling at how I came back to this point
I hated you and everything you represented
With every sweet word I took you back

It was like you cast a spell upon me

Let Me In

In the darkest times I will stay
Holding you down til end
But how can I remain knowing my love is in vain

How hard is it to just fucking listen
I never want you to doubt me again

What Makes Me

I have the soul of a poet. A mouth like a soldier. A heart like a survivor. A body like a mouse. Eyes like a plague. And words like an eternity. ~Written By Me

Declaration to a girl who loved me

Soft caresses and sweet, coffeeing tasting kisses
In the dark at night I'd get that adoration I wanted
But when daylight hit the warmth of your taste faded
Dried up
Like a raisin in the sun

Your Eyes

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Your eyes are certainly something to behold
They smolder and at times make me quiver
In your eyes I see great men like Gandhi

Excuse Me?

Excuse me are you listening?
Listening to the bullets raining down and lodging into the
Self-centered, egotistic skulls of men
Men
Masochistic Machines
Man-made Instruments
Of destruction

Empty Spaces

We don't believe in the word communicate
We'd rather mutate
Into a falling race that lives to fornicate
And create little spawn that become part of the death rate
Where's the respect?

Poetic Justice

I am an unstoppable force
A viable voice
The grand deliver
An exceutioner
Watch out before you end up in a body bag
With my pen I unleash the spirit of shy state

Truly Magnificent

I want that kind of wake in the morning and admire you're face while you sleep love
That I know you have 67 lashes over your eye love

Luggage Girl

Little girl walking down the street
Remember how to act sweet
Wear dresses that make your boobs look bigger
Wear tons of makeup to make you look pretty
Always wait to talk unless spoken to

Unborn Consequences

Olivia lays on the stretcher
The room a bleak white
No other soul in sight
Thoughts swimming through her head like that single sperm cell that slipped the cracks

Poem of the Week

martinhjr's picture

See how clouds can kiss the sky?
Your sun has finally come;
Embrace this miracle with grace in mind,
Raise your hands,
Feel the shine,
Taste the scent,
Enjoy the night.
Dry your eyes,
