MAY OF CONFUSION AND OBLIVION

I ceased and tried to stop the beat of my remorseful heart
And worked myself half to death for it when we’re apart
I earned enough burdens to keep my head under water
I was even desperate enough, drowned myself and forget about you that summer

I knew have to grovel, to fall on my bended knees and said
“I’ve been thinking about you all night on my restless bed!”
I’ve learned to take the truth and make what I can of it for the best
But still, you’re the reason why this thing beats beneath my chest

I am apt to close my eyes in front of the painful reality
That my verses of poetry are based upon the sentiments of your eminent beauty
If I’ll attempt to point an accusing finger at the most stupid person that cannot recover—
I might do it in front of the mirror, stay there and stare at my face forever
