Finding True Love

If finding my next true love was based on
physical appearances and not the heart,
I would have been an expert in romance.
I would have fallen in love over 99 times + additional.
This is the season they come out to play,
arms so chiseled … stomach six packing.
I see them, my memory takes a still photograph or 2.
Brown eyes, blue eyes…
dark … white … caramel godiva … I like them all.
If I was ungodly or desperate … I would take them all;
but they are missing the main ingredient … TRUE LOVE!

I want a man who is god-fearing,
loving, caring, understanding, encouraging, forgiving, compassionate,
committed, intelligent, trustworthy, wise, resposible, respectful, strong…
I don’t need an egotistical being … who thinks he’s all that,
irresistible, untouchable, unforgettable, dishonest, disrespectful,
willing to knock me to the ground, and bosses me around...
Short scissors cut, waves, locks... It doesn't matter;
I will settle down with anyone of them.
Braids, guys shorter than I am, I’m not attracted to them.
But if they have a good heart, a beautiful personality...
I will reconsider my sentiments...
They reminds me of my paper mate, I don’t like the blue ones.
When my work needs to get documented,
and I can't find my black ink pen;
the blue ink performs just the same.

But until my ANGEL comes along, I will keep on praying;
GOD will continue to be my HUSBAND,
MY one and only MAN.
I don’t have to worry about my feelings getting hurt,
What is He doing! Where He’s going! What am I missing!
I’m not missing a thing!
God is the maker and He gives everything;
including my loving, beautiful heart...
that is waiting patiently for my TRUE LOVE.
I don't know how long this wait will be,
but I will satisfy my heart
with nothing less than TRUE LOVE...
