Past Not Healed

In the night and silent serenity
lays a girl wide awake;
not scared, confused.
Staring at the ceiling
with loneliness by her side.
She wants to sleep
thoughts wont drown out.
Her minds stays steady
her heart weighs heavy.
Curious and uncomfortable with the present
faithful in the future.
Hope, compassion, and truth are traits that suit her well.
Her wounds from the past are healing
not sealed.
She knows she needs to keep her heart open
she doesn’t want to miss out.
That is like pouring lemon on an open cut.
Memories are what make it hard for her,
they are not fading quick enough.
Never forgotten is the label of her past.
Still she transgresses
faith never let her down.
Never waiting Never yearning for something unreal.
Never waiting Never yearning for anything.
Her mind and heart revealed,
not easily given.
Through her eyes you can see her soul
Although mystery is never absent.
Judgments made upon her are from a fools ignorance,
secrets are yours as they are hers.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it,

I'm glad that you enjoyed it, but better that you relate. It is always nice to relate to something someone else has said or written. Sometime we can close old doors to unanswered questions just from a related situation. And this lets new doors open. :) God Bless!
