Poems and Quotes by Skylerbrooks

Your Heavy Footsteps

You make steps away.
I could have predicted that.

You don't slam the door,
Like you should.
You place it neatly in its
Lock.
The familiar click,
Your final sign off

A Family Company

Seeing my father

Is like meeting a stranger.

You walk up as if meeting

For some business proposal;

As if you were assigned a time

And date

To reminisce about memories

Philos

Sorrow, carve my soul away.
Make me want to die today.
And hollow me with Knives of Truth,
Brought to be by her, from you.

Loneliness, shatter my heart to pieces,

The Service

Death cannot be bad,
For I now bury these
Words on the death
Of thousands of trees.
And the words are alive,
And so shall live on
While I am here
And long after I'm gone.
