Just Tired

I am just tired.
No where near wired
like I should be.
I am running on empty.
My eyes fall,
they cannot support
the exhaustion I carry.
These once-stable structures
in my mind
are falling down.
Crashing
Burning
Slipping
Turning
Falling
falling down.
And I’m shaken out of it-
“Are you okay?”
and you know we always go back
to what we normally say.
That same routine lie we use time after time-
“I’m fine.”
I am just tired…
