Heartbreak's Tale

What a wonderful life it would be,
if true love had truly felt me,
I forever tried to do my best,
put my best efforts to the test,
I know what it's like,
when the sun doesn't shine so bright,
but sitting there in the end,
true love has never, not once, touched my hand,
I've tried to live a long good life,
trying to make my bride my wife,
but standing there I as heartbroke,
as she left me for another bloke,
a wise man once long ago told me,
I'll get over her and be happy,
But until that one day finally comes,
I'll always live down within the slums...
