Dear Lord: Part 1

Dear Lord ... I thank You, for this day.
I thank You, for Your faithfulness.
I thank You, for awakening me,
to go on my knees and pray.
It is becoming a habbit, I pray that it remains the same.
Prayers are powerful; my prayers are not in vain.
It shows me that You are vigilant, and that You do care.
You are wonderful; I entrust my life in Your hands.

Thanks for the clothes on my back,
the pillows on which I lay my head,
the voice that greets You,
and sings the melodies You placed inside of me.
Thanks for the body that is so exhausted sometimes,
from the activities I execute all day.
Thanks for the families and the friends that I have,
the air that I breathe,
and the ground on which I stand.

I am not feeling sick at the moment,
my strength feels perfect today.
My mental capacity is exceptional,
I thank You for allowing me to be this way.
Tomorrow is uncertain to every one of us,
but my prayer is that You sustain me;
I want to explore and experience Your day.

I am not a complainer,
my heart is appreciative and I give You praises.
I honor You for Your wisdom and Your grace.
No false hope or pretending that no one is there;
I can feel Your presence, I know You are here.
You lifted me high above my circumstances;
You provide for me each day.

Thanks for the heart that listens and prays.
Thanks for the mind that comprehends,
and act upon the ideas that are chosen.
I love and I trust You;
so I bow my head in reverence and say....

Dear Lord, I thank you for Your blessings.
I thank You for the opportunity,
to be a part of Your universe.
I thank You for Your love and deliverance.
I thank You for the joy You have given me;
the undeniable peace that I have.
I thank You, for being in my life. Amen!
