Bio

I developed a strong passion and fear for the Lord. He is my strength, my love, my joy, my peace... Writing is my theraphy. It is an expression of love, joy, hurt, excitement, disappointments, reality, the unspoken... It enables a strong connection with the Lord. I am grateful He blesses this vessel with such an extraordinary gift.
"When I think of the goodness of Jesus, all that He has done for me, my soul cries out hallelujah; thank God for saving me. I was blind but now I can see. I was lost but now I am found."

How Often I Write Poetry

Whenever the Lord inspires me, sometimes 2/3 times in a day. Once my mind is free, and I make myself available, the creativity just flows. God is so rewarding; He blesses me constantly.

My Other Hobbies

Listening to music, reading the bible, writing ... whether it's verses to a song or poetry that's my expertise.

Two Words That Best Describes Me
Thankful, peaceful (inner peace)

Poems by Stephanie McKenzie

It's Pellucid

It is pretty pellucid, my mind is already made up
I have a dream and the verve to succeed
No more time wasting or wasting my energy on stupidity
It takes a lot to push forth negativity

Too Much

I asked the question, why are you so sad?
You responded, " I don't have anything to smile about."
Wow! You don't have anything to smile about.

Stranger

They say a promise is a comfort to a fool
Is that what you consider your only seed
Who loves and adores you
Constantly craves your attention
That you refuse to give
So many broken promises

Loneliness

I shouldn't be uttering those words, I miss you
I tried to accommodate you
But my heart was resisting and it wouldn't let you in

Smile

I smile cuz I'm alive and blessed
I smile cuz I have the desire and the capability to do so
I smile cuz I can take a deep breath and honestly say
Thank You Lord, I love You

Blessing

A black woman I am and very proud to be
Not because of internal and external beauties
But the opportunities of love, life, happiness

I Am Who I Am

I am not a racist
Never had and never will be
As long as I'm alive in this oasis
My thoughts are always flowing
And these I'm documenting
February
The month they celebrate Black History

Greatest Love

Love
I love You, always and forever more
You are the supplier of the air that I am breathing
The maintainer of the life that I am living
You are uplifting
Thanks for supporting
