I woke you today
I put your feet on the ground
It’s a new day, to make things right
You might not win the lotto, or find a hundred dollars

There’s something the big man wants me to do with my day
You might still be sad; but hey come on… it’s not all that bad.

You still have life to live
I’ll give you another heart beat, if you try.
Tell someone they’re great; go put a smile upon ones face
I’m sorry I don’t pray every day, or come and see you on Sundays.
Its ok I love you anyway
If you’ve learned one lesson… know, I woke you today
I gave you eyes to see, another breath to breathe.
I gave you legs to climb, do with them as you may,
today is a whole new day
I can help you, I promise
Leave the devil in his fire
If not, he’ll defiantly put you to hire
Open my eyes, Dear Lord
Why can’t I see all the things you have given to me?
In an instance it may all come to an end,
I will still be here to wipe your tears away; all you have to do is believe in me.
I’ll give you wings, to fly my child
Can’t stand not to see your smile
I don’t understand why I can’t see you
It’s not hide and seek my child, count to 3… open your eyes,
And you’ll see me.
