Opportunist Of The Rain

Through serene sleepless nights I've made it, searchin scriptures in my bible/ Gone from a lack of sleep feelin suicidal/ See...I was born through hurt so pain is no virgin/ Taught to lick my wounds and be vain as a peacock of my scars/ Born to grind against the grain and only cry when it rains/ Some mistake tears for weakness/ I cry to purge my soul/ In every tear that streams down my face lie ghetto tales and stories untold/ These tears of pain narrate hood strain/ During sunny days the wells of my eyes act as dams to my cries/ It's then when I capture laughter/ I hate the rain I've heard some say/ Yet I anticipate precipitation/ Watchin as the roll/ It's then when I purge my soul/ Showcasin my strain Dancin drippin wet from the pain/ It's when it rains that I allow these dams to break and let my emotions drain/ Streams down my face hidden by the rain.
