dodging rain drops

a train of thought turns left into a wall of blocks.

i write the thoughts that some may jot.

i fear i will forget the plot to my own memory jogged.

so i run while others walk.

i sin as i speak to God.

i live a lifestyle some call odd.

a man of many flaws.

as if they take me as somebody perfect in a lost cause.

i ought to wear my mind backwards and put my heart on pause.

instead i crawl into a dream of walls closing in on me.

is this a pen or wand? i wonder...

i wander the globe until my finger walks on water.

i feel like a newly wedds head spinning at the alter.

cold feet in hells kitchen.

the ink bursts and i think first after i take the risk in leaving her.

its too late for mistakes to forgive our foolish ways.

the taste of pain can wake the brain and meditate the aim of a sniper to dodge the bullet from the rain.

this is who i am.

this is who you aint.

though some may say they relate.

i hope they do and find a better day.

At some points it sounded

At some points it sounded like you just wanted to rhyme and forced inorganic lines to the piece. But the image given by the overall piece is pretty solid. There were some great lines there too. I don't know if i'd personally call this urban poetry though. I'm gonna read some more of your material though, from this it seems promising.

thanks for the feedback. i

thanks for the feedback.

i guess i dont write much of the typical poems you may read.

but i dont necassarily follow a form. i just write from the heart about what i know.

2 percent of what i write can sometimes be forced but everything else is from the heart.

and when i want to make up stories i just cant.

subconciously when i finish a poem i never realize how real it is until i read it thinking im

gonna get a fairytale. but thats never the case.
