Failed Goals
I know you sittin on a bench cold and lonely
Or maybe you searchin for some hope broke and hungry
The sales ain’t come and all your mind told you to do was run
The needle can ease the pain
But nothings forever
You can drink yourself to sleep and still not feel better
When you shiverin in cold weather
I know your thoughts seem clearer
Like if you could only go back in time you could make it all better
When your faith got low
Sellin your body seemed like the only way to cope
I know you smart enough to know the dangers of smoking dope
Life is hard enough, we hardly told to be bright and tough
But to quit is not a must
There’s a light at the end of tunnel for all of us
If you could just try again maybe it you could touch
I know you just want to cry and release your soul’s pride
All goals don’t fail
Sometimes they fail in the mind first
