Cheated

PrintPrint

Like snow beginning to melt;
She can't help the way she left.
His heart no longer pure or sweet;
Down her face rolled a salty, bitter streak.

Like a wrong predicted forecast;
She thought he'd never put her last.
His words no longer real or true;
In het head, trying to hide what she knew.

Like a tornado with it's raging winds;
She knew after this they'd never be friends.
His crime committed, yet he feels no guilt or shame;
Out her words never came, leaving her in agony, in pain.

Like the falling of leaves in the autumn breeze;
She can't help but hate the life he chose to lead.
His smile not bearing any sadness or regret;
From her crime of nothing but love, anger is all thats left.

Like the heat from the summer sun;
She thought, for cover she'd never have to run.
His love he never shared or gave;
Up her mind will rise for her heart will heal but the scars are here to stay.

I really like this! Very good choice of words and good way of explaining things. :) Makes me want to write a new poem about something that happened to me recently...lol in fact I think I will. I need to to close the book anyways. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
