Crying in the Rain

PrintPrint

I'm dehydrated and I'm in the desert.

I'm lost and need to be found.

It's like I'm a hopeless innocent,

But all my fear's appear right before my very eyes.

I shed a tear.

It's raining in the desert.

I'm crying in the desert.

Mother Nature must be falling in love,

Because the weather patterns are too confusing.

The desert was in a drought.

Now, it's raining.

We were once kissing in the rain.

My heart's in a drought.

I'm lonely, so I'm crying in the rain.

Puddles appear under our feet.

Children splash and giggle with delight.

The broken hearts look at their own reflections.

They try not to care

As they're on their way to the desert.

That seems to be my new home.

Our activities include crying in the rain.

We don't feel ashamed from crying out loud.

We're not leaving this world

Until our hearts grow a band-aid.

Our hearts must find a permanent home.

We're not leaving without a smile.

We're crying in the rain.

Yeah, I'm kind of insane.

I'm not in pain.

I'm only crying in the rain.

Behind The Poem:

Wanting love, but no one will love you, so you're crying in the rain.
