Poems and Quotes by Desi Sherman

My second skin!

I hear her creeks and moans as i move,
i feel her restrictions as she hugs me tight.
When i fall she always takes the first blow
never cries about how she did so,

Mine

I look at my clothes,
and i look at my shoes,
and it all takes my blues away.

I ware them as an oath,
in all hope to confuse,

I dont know!

poetry picture

not even laps of time would deter my images of your day,
thoughts of things you would say,
keep me distracted from going along my way.

Poetic Conversation between Stephanie & David

Stephanie says
Midnight delight your image sparked interest curious wanting to further examine his mental sight

David says
So tell me what are you thinking now

David says

The Golden Wheel

the golden wheel of life spins at its own pace,
but that does not mean that it cant be slowed down.
humans are a very mysterious race,
and i will try to give you my run down.

Its not you Its me!

sometimes i feel like the world is standing still
i realize that its truly only me that is real.
you pass through my vision of the world we have at hand

The Unknown

Be ware my dears what you ask for,
because it will bring you way much more.
things you could not possibly ignore.

Way beyond the things you see or hear
things that are not so very clear.

At The Bottom Of The Elaphants Tell!

At the bottom of the elephants tail,
Thats where life is swell.
Even with the swing and the toss,
we live as if we were the boss.
Its a galixy all to our own,

the story of Lobo and The Currumpaw wars

poetry picture

There once was a show down
But nowhere near a town,
Nor between to equal men
But one man against out-laws in a den.

One was the King of the currumpaw
Lobo was his name,

Where does your breath go when it leaves

Where does your breath go when it leaves
How many times did you take a breath today?
Was it cold enough outside to see it play?
Did it take leaps off your lips?

Whats Dear To Me!

Its those deapist, darkest, most horribly twisted memories that i hold dear to me.
They linger in my head like fog lifting early on a worm suny morning off a old pond.

The dance of dance's

o what a weave we do twist,
when minds do intermingle
on the waves of the mighty sifi.

flurting our way along the edge of the abyss,
with words that sound out there own jingle,

A flower with power.

Who knew one little flower
Would create such power,
In the hands of a man with a master plan!
Nevertheless, let it be none,
It is bad to the bone.
How that flower empowered a man.

My Second Home

United World Poets is the place for me,
a place were i can express my words.
even though i am down on bended knee,
i sing my song as so many birds
out in the open for all to see,

Some Poor Child

i can hear it far off in the distant night
the loud and sobering cry's of some poor child
the sounds now express his never ending fright
what could have gotten his guardian so dam riled

Music

poetry picture

It is the music the way it glides,
Its way through every nook and crannies of my soul.
It makes my head bobble like a toy.
It sends me to places better by far,

The 44th President

poetry picture

The 44th President “one who is blessed” in Swahili,
Happens to love his wife’s Shrimp Linguini.
His desk, in the senate office once belonged to Robert Kennedy!

In The Presance Of The Lord!

poetry picture

Have you ever seen the face of the Lord?
Sure you have! Why? Dont you remember?
It was me standing outside the resterant door!
All slobering and drooling with no repore.

I once was.......

poetry picture

As my wings are clipped,
I sit grounded from flight.
As no songs leave my tree,
I don’t feel as if I have any mite.
You tell me what are fowl that can not fly?

looking at me

There she stands to look at me,
With a face of wonder and mystery.
I have seen the look of intrigue,
And this was it indeed.

With the lick of her lips,
