Spoken word ain’t the way it used to be
Truthfully its half of what you used 2 see
Poetry ain’t about battles hardships and rhyme
But time I guess has every1 so crazy its a crime
But its time people brought spoken word back
Pick up the slack,& lay words down like smack
Cus spoken word is a poets deliverence
Its expression, life and influence
Spoken word is about who you are
But by far most people have lowered the bar
So we need people who can change the game
People who don’t write for fortune or fame
People who make sure others remember their name
Who write and write about everything
And also make time to laugh and sing
Poetry is the fabric of lives
We strive to make people see through our eyes
And let them be amazed by the things in our lives
