Constant No More

.Constant No More
Polaris, guide to a valiant spirit – Heroine to the lost.
As long as man has remembered, she has been our constant.
Reminding us to stay the course – Don’t go astray.
In spirit and in form, she remains true.
Her unfaltering heart rescues those abandoned and vulnerable in feral lands and seas.
While men have found fame as they transverse to and fro,
It was she, liberating their passage to glory.
Because of her, this guiding star, they may walk steadfast and onward.
She has been the most loyal of lights on the darkest of days -
Those who serve her faithfully will not perish, for she will remain true and devoted.
Her beacon shines not the brightest or boldest, but ever steadfast.
To trust in her, liberates man from the abyss of solitude.
She brings hope, this unswerving brilliance – Never moving, never faltering, and never changing.
From the perils of doom, she stays the course.
Her radiance delivers us to the bosom of safety.
But love, nothing is a constant except the inevitably of change.
She who is our beacon of hope in the ever changing sky,
Once played man false and she will again.
Trust, have faith while she proves herself worthy.
But always question – Always look for her untrue heart.
Because, my love, that which was constant will become constant no more.
