Water Words

PrintPrint

Cut my skin,
watch the words flowing out
in rhymes and broken English.
Poems will start materializing
in massive piles on the floor.

All you have to do
is match them with the floating shadows,
as you slowly breathe in purified air.

My story will be told to you
through a series of 6 poems
with 6 verses
and 6 personalities.

If you start to drown
as you get to the last one
it means that you’re getting closer
and I’m pushing you down.

I’ve never let anyone get to the poem number 6.
If you do,
then you’re chained to me forever
underneath the word floor.

We will stop breathing,
living off of pure love and water words
to rise above the wall that keeps us apart;
shrouding ourselves in fantasy
with bright red bleeding in our eyes.

Read me the horror stories,
spill our smiles and tears
all over our bodies,
keep the rest in a jar for later.

I’ll drink the words you never got to use;
we will write poem number 7 together.

Only You would understand this.
If you make it to poem number 6.
