Hi.
People who have abandonment issues have been left by someone who was a significant person in their life. The loss does not have to be unexpected like a break up or a accidental death. Even a person that you know is moving away to better their lives can leave a hole in your soul sometimes. The inability to get over the loss, and the subsequent problems that follow, are said to be "abandonment issues" because of the root cause of the problem. Hope this helps you.
So what exactly are some signs of abandonment issues, i mean is it noticable? What is it that a person does that causes others to believe that this person may have this problem?
Hi THE Poetess,
Abandonment issues comes from like Arenka said, it's from someone of important leaving out that other persons life. It could be an absent father, an deceased mother, being taken way as a child or being in a relationship and the partner leaves their mate etc...
You can notice someone who has abandonment issue with the way they act. They aren't easy to trust and believe in people. They tend to walk away from things without second guessing themselves. And if I'm right... I believe people with those issue tend to hold onto personal things, like keepsakes or tokens etc.
At times they tend to be cut off from certain people, places or events. They possibly bring up painful memories from their past or seem a bit closed off.
Not everyone does that through... but this is an general idea.
And I'm not a pro, this is only my opinion.
