When the moon comes out and shows it's bloated face,

Ill come out to meet you but I won't leave a trace.

Everybody knows me, but no one can see,

the wicked, nasty, vile man who lives inside of me.

We all love to hate him and we all hate to love.

I do my awful playing underneath the light above.

All that's really happening isn't what you see.

open up your little eyes and see it isn't me.

When I've had my fun with you you'll start to comprehend.

Your eyes will be open and your life is at an end.

I am the boogie man that is underneath your bed.

I'm the one behind you when you're heart is full of dread.

I'm the monster in the closet waiting for a thrill.

I'm hiding in your backseat just using all my skill.

I call you on the telephone when you're all alone.

I'll jump out and scare you and cut you to the bone.

If you look around you I think that you will see,

I'm just your imagination; I'm trying to break free.

We are our own worst enemies, do we love the thrills?
