Because I'm not always there, i can't help those who need it
But don't misperceive me, i'll lend an ear if you'd receive it
but my friends are going through rough times and it hurts my stomach to read it

but i can't believe it, it's like someone is taunting me
all these people in trouble and you can't do anything but believe

My girlfriend Haylee and everyone i've talked to before them
this is for you, I apologize
for the scars and cuts on your arms and the tears in your eyes
the people whom you see that hurt you so much
and the knife whose blade kisses you with a sharp, tender touch
and for all the blood and suffering that has been poured on the floor
which you had to spill then cover behind a closed and locked door
And to every person who is powerless to change their condition
