Warming My Soul

PrintPrint

If I could make my soul feel warm, I would

I've spent 17 years cold and alone, as i should

Bu even cold souled the way I am

and with a fury that belies my being like a scam

Sometimes if i try, i can just make it out

hey look im soul searching but its within me not without

I wonder

if i jumped into a volcano would my soul be warmer to Gabriel's touch?

and if my life was extinguished would anybody miss me too much?

i might build a pyre, after all, where else could i turn

And i'd gladly walk into it to feel my soul burn

At least my soul would have fire, a light, some passion

and my body might not be missed but at least it goes out in fashion

So burn baby burn, ignite my soul

and keep burning forever so its never again cold

Behind The Poem:

This is a lot of my feelings, but i kind of based the idea for the poem off Kiersten White's novel Paranormalcy. So yeaa
