Surrender

How can I erase what I already know
It has been written
Yet it’s seemingly invisible to the naked eye
I blink my eyes repeatedly afraid that I may be dreaming
Because this moment in time I can’t deny
I’m caught up in the rapture
My heart has been captured within a silver and golden gate

There’s so much at stake
I hope it’s not too late
I’m breathless in his presence
Restless when not with him
Wild from thoughts of things to come

Are you my shadow, that speaks to me?
I plead for mercy as you reveal your purpose
I’m speechless
I’ve waited all my life to enter this structure,
My feet walk upon his kind words
I’m guided through the thick mist that surrounds me
His heart he offers as I move beyond this space
Trust finally has it’s rightful place
As I am elevated to a higher realm
I am greeted by courage which is part of his armor

As our hands touch and souls embrace
The pain and anguish of the past has been asphyxiated
I now know why I waited
Questions have been answered
Fears no longer linger
His embrace is magnificent
Tears of joy flow as I begin to cry
I find myself blown away by this natural high
His eyes take me
I am light as a feather
I give into this guiltless pleasure
It is only he and I
As we sit beneath the tree of life
Staring in unison at the heavenly sky

I cant help but seeing my

I cant help but seeing my self sitting there under a tree,
looking to the heavens with the creator his self!
Its just the thing it makes me feel when I read this.
To me it speaks to more then one class. Well done!

Thanks...you know it's interesting your interpretation as my mom told me she felt the poem was speaking from a spiritual perspective as accepting a higher being into your life. Thanks again.
