The Reluctant New Year

PrintPrint

The year ends with tales of a deeper recession
and downsizing trends,

Auld Lang Syne and all the celebrations in its
honor makes the world forget briefly about the gloomy
rumours,

The new year is gradually creeping in with
negativity, crime and sin,

Many folks are tired of battling a sinking economy,

While Politicians and Law Makers saunter through
their lives happily,

The "little People" are set aside and left to wait
in vain,

Meanwhile, the Elitists and powers that be are tending to everything
else, except the people who put them into power,

Although America is filled with hopeful citizens filled
with spirit and pride,

The paucity has lasted so long, their dreams are withering
inside.
