Poem

ANGELS AMONG US

Once upon a time,

not so long ago.

I sat beside an angel,

and didnt even know !

She had no wings or halo,

that my eyes could see !

But everytime that i was scared,

she would talk to me !

Her words were often random,

of the wall I'd say at best !

But everytime she spoke to me,

it put my mind at rest !

Angels walk among us,

each and everyday !

We just dont know they're angels,

until they've gone away !

Later I would realize,

what had just occurred !

I was lifted up above my fears,

by her every word !

For random acts of kindness,

are just what angels do !

Now everytime I think of angels,

I need only think of you !

Behind The Poem:

I love skiing, therefore I fly. I am afraid of flying and do not look forward to it. I was on a flight from Reno Nevada to Dallas Fort Worth.....worse flight I have ever been on. There was extreme turbulence for most of the 2 1/2 hour flight. I happened to be sitting next to a young lady who turned out to be a sunday school teacher....she could see how scared and uncomfortable I was, and spent the entire flight taking my mind off of my fear. We talked about anything and everything, went through inflight magazines.....she refused to allow me to focus on my fears.....I wrote this poem to her, for her random act of kindness that I so greatly appreciated ! Truly an angel !
