This is true insanity, I can’t be polite

In the House and the Senate preaching their Bible

If they act on what they want to do

And if they think all their opinions are right and true

Then those of us with intelligence must prepare for a fight

I don’t like violence, I despise war

Even fighting among friends makes me sore

But I will if I have to, I can be reliable

They hate homosexuals, they want Unions dead

They want Christian values to be taught in school

They will teach and they’ll preach about Jesus and sinners

And a make-up world in which only Christians are winners

Can you wrap this madness around your head?

Global warming? Ha! The Christians can’t wait

A prime example of why my feeling toward religion is hate

I’m logically minded, but they call me a fool

They have faith in Christ and think this is a Christian nation

Obviously they don’t know a thing about history

They think to be patriotic you must attend church

But mention a Kingdom Hall and you’ll see then lurch

Only with Jesus can people feel elation

They hate Muslims and atheists and Catholics and Jews

And claim everyone but them is a most motley crew

How they actually believe this is such a mystery

The Bible’s not perfect, there are many mistakes

And which stories are metaphors and which ones are real?

Some say since the first two people were Adam and Eve

Gay people are evil (for they weren’t Adam and Steve)

And want them thrown into fiery lakes

More so, there’s some big problems with God

That make him more fictional than General Zod

But logic is something of which Christians can’t deal

If God’s all powerful and all-knowing

And had a divine plan many years back

Then why do Christians pray to him every day?

He has a divine plan, let things go his way

Prayer’s so useless it can’t even stop snowing

But what do politics have to do with religious hicks?

Because the power’s in Christian hands, the voters don’t trust Catholics

And on science they try to attack

They hate the fact of evolution and say it’s still a theory

Even though most real scientists admit that it’s true

They try to teach creation in schools and science they ignore

And wish this country was brought back it days of yore

When you had teacher-led prayers to Jesus, their mystical fairy

The Pledge of Allegiance should have ‘Under God’ removed

For I’m sure no other religion aside from Christianity approved

But if an atheist suggests it (like Michael Newdow), the due they will rue

But did you know that “In God We Trust”

Wasn’t our national motto until 1956?

It wasn’t on our money until the 1950’s, mid

And they creationism behind intelligence design hid

And now praying before playing a school sport is a must

And you must believe in Christ to even get elected

Which is funny because I thought freedom of religion was protected

I’m sick of all these conservative religious tricks

A woman has total right over her body; what say should the government get?

Especially when the government is composed of a majority of religious people

And even today’s children love God because West said “Jesus Walks”

Which to me indicates that society today needs a hard talk

Just thinking about this stuff can get me in a fit

From unions to education to science to global warming

The people need to give politicians a warning

Get some brains and walk out of the steeple

And I know that it’s harsh, but the belief in a God is idiotic

Use some logic and reason and thought and mind power

I know that people are brainwashed from a young age

And then mindlessly turn the Bibles’ page

Truly all conservatives are psychotic

Now you see why politicians themselves are so bad

I wish they would fade quickly like a teen fad

Because freedom before them cowers

The Bible is a bad influence, for it denies science and reason

There are things for which we need to fight

Oppression, denied rights, Creationism, “The ice caps don’t melt”

For many years all of those feelings I felt

Were bad opinions, it’s nearing voting season

Libertarians, Liberals, Democrats, Democracy

As opposed to a Christian Conservative-led Jesus Theocracy
