Into the Fire

PrintPrint

To walk through fire and not get burned,
is to make use of all the knowledge you have ever learned.

To walk on water laced with hatred and greed,
and not give them your energy, in which to survive, they must feed.

You must glide past temptation and never look back.
Laugh in the face of desire as it tries to throw you off track.

The goblet is to your lips, and you will swish, yet not swallow.
You will taste, yet not indulge for your heart is no longer hollow.

It is now filled with the truth, and there is no need to return,
for you have been through the fire, and, yet still you do not burn.

Behind The Poem:

This poem is a prequal to another poem I had written, which I will include on this site as well.  The book The Celestine Prophecy inspired me to write them.
