Begin

Moonlight casting black shadows
Dying the lake silver.
The trees whisper of when they were young
While the river tells its tales.
I listen to these stories,
Intertwined and continuous.
I watch the moon
Move across the sky
As the shadows dance.
Their stories tell of secrets
Only between friends
And the dances of the hearts.
I listen and watch, for fear of it ending.
And tomorrow again
I shall wait for this
To begin.
