Half-Vampiric
Teeth bared, a hiss escapes through his teeth, he lunges
his leap graceful as a hunting cat's
and attacks with teeth sharper than knives
his hands firm and sure as he grabs his prey
The lady he holds screams, one shrill piercing note
as his teeth sinks effortlessly through the skin of her neck
And she falls to the ground, shocked and scared, dead
I get up slowly
my mouth drips crimson,
my throat burns raw with thirst
and i look at the lady on the cold dark ground
double crescent marks play around her neck
and the crimson liquid flows
in deep rich streams from two holes
Her eyes, still alive, still moving, freeze on my form
terror dancing in her eyes
and her hands spasmodically tremble
reaching for her neck, she stems the flow of the stream
He closes his eyes, and breathes deeply through his nose
The scent of blood tickling his nostrils, setting his heart on fire
And his brown eyes ablaze with an instinctive giddiness.
And suddenly, the human in him becomes apparent.
he bends down and looks the lady in her eyes, and says softly in a sharp, singsong voice
I'm sorry
Looking in this lady's eyes, the human in me cringes
but the vampire that i am flutters happily
And i am torn
I am a vampire but i am a human too.
And my life is that of an interbred person.
I look once more at the lady, dying on the floor.
Now she convulses, my venom, slowly pacing through her veins, changing her
I shudder once, convulsively, and drop down by her neck, in the pool of blood
And satiate myself while beside me, she shudders and screams.
