How piercing I find the sight of any eye other than my own

With you I just had to steal half a gaze

Before you could even notice I pulled out my cellphone

Pretended the edges of my heart were not grazed

You ignited a spark within the depths of my soul

A source of great discomfort as I have long buried that part of me

A pilgrimage I had embarked on to find a lady to play the leading role

So far proving fruitless as I could not find my heart's key

In that half gaze I saw a reflection

Clearer than any mirror could ever display

A picture of personified perfection

An image which in my mind I repeatedly replay

To my amazement I saw my heart in your eyes

An image I had never before witnessed

Destiny fulfilled at the roll of a dice

Luck has forever eluded me, but today I feel blessed
