Anorexic Princess

A fear of gaining weight,
Appetite suppressents,
Food restriction,
Counting bites I consume,
Careful not to take in to much,
In early childhood it developed,
Hiding food,
Feeling cold and sad,
Weak and tired,
Ignoring hunger calls,
Self starvation,
Excessive weight loss,
Abnormal heart rhythm,
Refusing to eat around others,
A life long illness,
At war everyday,
An obsession,
Measuring,
Scale checking,
Mirror gazing,
Wanting to be beautiful,
Needing to be accepted,
Having to be thin,
Seeing a distorted body image,
This is....
Anorexia nervosa

:,( I don't know if you

:,( I don't know if you figured it out this is about me.I've had an eating disorder most of my life.I became anorexic when I was fourteen.I've struggled with it for twelve years. For the past two years I've been doing better, its not as serious as it use to be.I'm not looking for sympathy, I just wanted to share what it's like.I'm sure there are others that can relate.

I hope you keep getting

I hope you keep getting better.  Im just the opposite and just as deadly.  I have an overweight problem.  It’s all as hard as alcoholism and other diseases to fight.  Sometimes people don’t realize.  A wonderful singer, Karen Carpenter died of anorexia after a reporter called her chubby.   People are so fragile.  Don’t ever give up.  Life is short live it to its fullest. heart

It's very straight forward. I

It's very straight forward. I don't know what to say. Poetically in my opinion, it wasn't very strong. But hey, it's poetry right? I like how you poured your feelings and memories into it.

Being over weight is serious

Being over weight is serious which can lead to illness and working out is the best counter and I workout often, but mainly to build muscle. Nice poem though.

You're beautiful and you need

You're beautiful and you need to eat and be able to eat without guilt. This is a very powerful poem, to the point, and well executed. Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful Work!!  Well

Wonderful Work!!  Well expressed.  As long as you keep busy and moving around, you can maintain the weight you want.  Don't look into society to define who you are.  You are beautiful and talented.   Do what works for you and you will be happy.  Don't pay attention to those toothpick models and other barbie doll chicks on T.V.  They are not happy with themselves (trust me).  I was overweight in highschool.  I started working out in my early twenties a lot between finishing college and work and still ate everything I wanted.  I'm 36 now and my metabolism is so high that I am drinking weight gainers on top of my 4 meals a day.  Just keep busy and you'll be fine.  Work on loving you and stay strong.  YOU are SPECIAL and you have a lot to offer the world..  Show them what you got girl!!angel

I liked it for the most

I liked it for the most part.  It did give off a sence of franic anxiety.  I'm not shure if that was deliberate, but still better than some of the others I'v seen in years past.  Thouth Death would have been a good touch
